Who we are

The International Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies Society (CBPis), No. A26, Noyanlar Sitesi, 15 Long Beach, İskele, North Cyprus, is the controller of your personal data. Contact: info@cbpis.org. We process personal data in line with the TRNC Personal Data Protection Law 89/2007 and, where it applies, the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

What we collect

  • Contact form, assistant and ethics concerns: name, email, optional phone, topic and your message.
  • Membership applications: identity and contact details, education and qualifications, experience, referee details and decisions.
  • Emails sent to the Society: sender, subject and content.

Please do not share more health information in a form than is needed. This site uses no cookies or tracking. Only your language and theme choice are kept in your own browser.

Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and assess your application (your request and consent)
  • To keep the member register and the books required by the by-law (legal obligation)
  • To examine ethics concerns and protect the public (legitimate interest)

Who can see it

Only authorised members of the Executive Board. We never sell data or share it for marketing. Our service providers are Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database, Frankfurt, EU) and Resend (email delivery), which process data only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

Messages for 3 years after the last correspondence; membership records for the duration of membership and afterwards as long as the law requires; unsuccessful applications for 2 years.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its use, or withdraw consent. Use the contact form and choose “Privacy request”, or write to info@cbpis.org. We reply within one month.
