INTERNATIONAL COGNITIVE AND BEHAVIOURAL PSYCHOTHERAPIES SOCIETY (CBPIS)

Purpose and Objectives

The CBPis Society aims to:

  • Contribute to the development of experts working in the field of mental health

  • Provide accessible and ethical training opportunities in this field

Mental Health Development and Public Impact

  • Conduct studies related to the protection of mental health nationwide

  • Ensure the treatment and care of mental patients

  • Expand, guide, set standards for, and monitor mental health studies

  • Convey evaluations to relevant institutions

  • Form public opinion on mental health issues

Education and Awareness

  • Provide activities that enlighten, educate, and warn society on mental health issues

  • Conduct research for the activation and/or development of activities within this scope

Scientific and Academic Development

  • Encourage scientific studies on cognitive and behavioural therapies

  • Promote ethical research appropriate to the culture

  • Support the development of members in line with contemporary science through:

    • Courses

    • Seminars

    • Conferences

    • Panels

    • Educational activities

  • Encourage members’ involvement in scientific studies and ethical research

Publications and Resources

  • Provide information, documents, and publications necessary to fulfill objectives

  • Establish a documentation center

  • Publish materials such as:

    • Newspapers

    • Journals

    • Books

    • Bulletins

Infrastructure and Working Environment

  • Provide a healthy working environment

  • Supply technical tools, equipment, inventory, and stationery materials

Collaboration and International Relations

  • Establish contact and collaborate with institutions and organizations with similar purposes

  • Exchange knowledge and training opportunities

  • Organize international congresses

  • Participate in conferences of similar nature

Legal and Institutional Engagement

  • Engage with official state departments and institutions to protect the Association’s objectives and reputation

  • Submit demands and request amendments to legal regulations when necessary

  • Initiate legal proceedings related to the aims and activities of the Association

Member Support

  • Address problems encountered by members

  • Support members’ needs

  • Seek, defend, and advocate for members’ rights

Professional Contribution

  • Play an active role in advancing mental health and psychotherapy

  • Take legal action where necessary to support this advancement

Social and Community Activities

  • Organize:

  • Support productive use of time and increase participation in social activities for:

    • Members

    • Non-members

    • Residents of TRNC

Assets and Financial Activities

  • Purchase, rent, or exchange movable and immovable property

  • Build, maintain, and renovate necessary structures

Income sources include:

  • Admission fees

  • Membership fees

  • Subsidiary income

  • Donations and grants

  • Service income

  • Events such as balls or parties

  • Other income-generating activities

  • Participate in activities to meet operational expenses
